Thousands and thousands of young people are falling further behind with their education because they cannot access the internet at home. By bringing together a group of like-minded organisations, each providing unique expertise at different stages of the process, we are able to provide an end-to-end solution that supports in closing the digital divide.
We invite businesses and individuals to donate used digital devices for repurposing. These are securely erased to global standards and then distributed according to need to children from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them the opportunity to learn remotely.
Due to the latest lockdown and increase in donations, we are also looking for responsible individuals to help erase data from donated devices at a Covid-secure facility in The Sheffield College. We have also set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the purchase of refurbished laptops and LTE dongles to ensure children are able to access the technology and connectivity needed to succeed in their education.
